Hurricane Creek Park is a beautiful little park on the east side of Lake O’ The Pines. This quaint park is great for a picnic or just a day out by the lake. There are plenty of trees for shade and about 10 or so picnic tables on the hill overlooking the lake.

There is plenty of parking spaces available. We also saw a lot of people fishing from the bank in this park. It did look like a great area for fishing. There is plenty of space to pull up a camping chair next to the bank and sit and fish awhile. The trees also provide partial shade at times while you fish.

There is a good two lane boat ramp within the park that has a nice boat dock that extends well into the lake. The cost to launch your boat here is $3, but the ramp is in a protected cove and looks like a good place to launch a boat.

If you are looking for an excellent day use park that is away from all the bigger parks on the lake, Hurricane Creek Park may just be the park you are looking for.

Enjoy! Life is better on the water.
